What you will do

• Transcribe and interpret revenue registers, grants and land deeds
• Build glossaries of revenue terms, measures and office titles
• Check AI answers on land tenure history and record keeping
• Advise transcribers on table layouts and abbreviations

What we are looking for

• Deep knowledge of Mughal, Sikh or British Indian revenue administration
• Reading knowledge of Persian and Urdu revenue hands
• Research, patwari, legal or archive background
• Clear written English

Nice to have

• Experience with district record rooms or settlement reports
• Knowledge of Shikasta and siyaq numerals
