What you will do

• Scan or photograph books, manuscripts and loose documents to a set specification
• Set up lighting, colour targets and cradles for fragile bindings
• Name, check and upload files with complete item records
• Re-shoot pages that fail our image quality checks

What we are looking for

• Hands-on scanning or photography experience with books or documents
• Careful handling of fragile and bound material
• Understanding of resolution, colour and file formats
• Able to work on site at a partner archive, library or museum when a project needs it

Nice to have

• Experience with overhead book scanners or copy-stand setups
• Knowledge of digitisation guidelines such as FADGI or Metamorfoze
