What you will do

• Compare each transcribed line with the page image and correct every error
• Check diacritics, spacing, punctuation and letter joins against our conventions
• Score transcribers' work and write short, specific feedback
• Escalate unreadable or disputed passages to a paleographer

What we are looking for

• Native or near-native reading of Urdu, Persian or Arabic in print and handwriting
• Proven proofreading, editing or transcription experience
• Close attention to small details over long sessions
• A laptop or desktop and a stable internet connection

Nice to have

• Experience with manuscripts, lithographs or old newspapers
• Prior QA work on OCR or annotation projects
