What you will do

• Transcribe firmans, berats and official letters in Diwani, Shikasta and related hands
• Read and describe seals, tughras and endorsements
• Explain diplomatic formulae and document structure
• Review AI answers on chancery practice and dating

What we are looking for

• Recognised expertise in Ottoman or Persian diplomatics or paleography
• Strong reading of Ottoman Turkish or Persian
• Experience with original archival documents
• Clear written English

Nice to have

• Knowledge of sigillography or numismatics
• Work with the Ottoman or Mughal archives
