What you will do

• Transliterate Urdu text into scholarly and everyday Roman schemes
• Convert romanised Urdu from chats and social media back to Urdu script
• Write and review transliteration test sets
• Rate AI transliteration for accuracy and consistency

What we are looking for

• Native or near-native Urdu
• Knowledge of at least one formal scheme, such as ALA-LC
• Consistency across long documents
• Professional written English

Nice to have

• Linguistics or library cataloguing background
• Experience with Hindi-Urdu or Devanagari conversion
