About the work
Automatic captions are now everywhere, but quality still varies widely by language. Professionals set the standard they are measured against.
What you will do
- Write and time subtitles to broadcast standards
- Review AI captions for errors, timing and line breaks
- Translate subtitles between English and your language
- Build test sets of hard audio-visual clips
What we are looking for
- Professional subtitling or captioning experience
- Native fluency in at least one language plus strong English
- Knowledge of reading speed and line length rules
- Experience with subtitling software
Nice to have
- Accessibility captioning for deaf and hard-of-hearing viewers
- Urdu, Hindi or Arabic subtitling work
